An expectedly difficult game against the newly promoted and energetic Sporting Bahia.There was some quality and the team showed good character to come back when falling behind against run of play when Conde equalised. By the time the eventual winning goal was scored by the debutant from France, Chris Jones, there was some growing confidence.However, it took world class savign tackles from Smithen & Stacey to change the mood of game. Overall a very patchy start to the defence of our HAT TRICK of Championship titles.
