Battersea Ironsides took on the might of a Kingston and District 1st team in the  Surrey Lower Junior Cup and after putting on their best performance of the season comfortably won the match 3-0. 

In an excellent all round performance it is unfair to highlight individuals. However, Junior Nero returning in goal showed why he was missed, James Riley a converted debutant Centre Half was simply immaculate and Shane Francis who scored a brace was simply too strong and too good. But an extra special mention must go to 16 year old Jordan Gateson who showed the maturity and temper ant that he had no right to show. If he continues like this, his career will take him way above the Ironsides.

 

The next round is on 25th November and the Ironsides are looking at that date with confidence
