Battersea Ironsides Sports & Social Club
Our main ground it situated on the corner of Openview and Burntwood Lane, and is the
ground at which our first team, reserve team and Sunday team play their home games.
From the South: Take the A24 to Tooting Broadway, turn west on the A217 towards Wandsworth, and after the 2nd roundabout, Burntwood Lane is the 2nd road on the right. The ground is accessed via Openview on the left side of the road
From the North: Wandsworth one-way system take A217 Garratt Lane to Burntwood Lane, 500m on the left after Earlsfield BR station. The ground is accessed via Openview on the left side of the road.
Prince Georges Playing Fields
The Battersea Ironsides A's play their home games at Prince George's Playing Fields, Grand Drive, Raynes Park. Directions to the ground are as follows:
By Train: Go to Raynes Park (BR) which is the next stop on from Wimbledon out of London, 15 minutes from Clapham Junction and 25 minutes from Waterloo. Exit the station on the same side as the train down from London and Grand Drive will be in front of you. Take the right fork. 100 yards down Grand Drive you will come to the lights at the junction of Bushey Road. The pitches are on the left on the other side of these lights. Cross at the lights and walk 30 yards to the left and you will come to a gate which leads to the changing rooms (the green hut in the corner of the field).
By Car: The ground is 400 yards from the 2nd junction off the A3 after the Robin Hood roundabout. This junction is one mile from the Robin Hood roundabout and its sign posted to Raynes Park and New Malden. Turn left at this junction and after 400 yards you will come to the Bushey Road/Grand Drive traffic lights. Turn right at these lights, go 400 yards up Grand Drive and there is a track which takes you into the ground between a pair of semi-detached houses on your left. (It is sign posted 'Raynes Park Vale FC'). From this track you can actually drive across the ground to the changing room block which is in the bottom corner of the ground close to the Bushey Road/Grand Drive traffic lights.
Training Ground
Training takes place every Wednesday evening from 19:00 to 21:00 at the Aspire Centre at Southfields Community College in Southfields. It is a 15 minute walk from the clubhouse,
or a 5 minute drive. More information can be found on the Southfields Community College Website by clicking here.
